Stine Bramsen is one of Denmark’s biggest voices.
She started as an international success with the group Alphabeat in 2004 – and has since 2013 worked as a solo artist.
She writes beautiful country-inspired pop songs that touch on important topics such as feminism and equal rights. This was especially evident on her first solo album in 7 years, when in October 2022 she released the album "Blonde & Blank", which received fantastic reviews, front pages in several major magazines, radio hits and much more
Stine Bramsen released her first single after three years in 2022,’What I Want You To Do’which is more organic, energetic and where the honest has got more space than in her previous music.’.
The new sound of the single can be attributed to the good names that have been involved in writing and producing it; these include Emil Falk, Thomas Helmig, Benjamin Hav and Lukas Graham. The collaboration resulted in a further 8 songs in just two weeks.
Stine Bramsen has teamed up with musician Kajsa Vala in a new project called Bye Bye Brenda, In this film, the singer's introverted side finds space through Kajsa Vala's vulnerable musical universe. Together, they delve into the melancholy and the darkness within us all.
The musical collaboration between the two friends has been in the works for a long time, and in the spring the two toured Denmark in an intimate tour that took them to 12 Danish cities.
About the tour, Stine Bramsen said at the time: ”On my last tour, I reduced the size of the band and increased the intimacy with the audience.
It came out really well and honestly, I think, and Kajsa and I could feel that we wanted to explore it further.
A budding desire to go out and play just the two of us, because we have a rather unique harmony between us, both musically and humanly.
I’ve also found the courage to talk a little more between the songs and show off a bit more of myself, and I think the collaboration with Kajsa creates the perfect framework for just that – and I’m absolutely excited!”
