KATO is one of the most successful Danish DJs over the last decade with an endless list of #1st place positions on album, single and streaming charts.
In 2007, KATO recorded his first number 1 hit in Denmark, “My House”.
Although he started at the top of the hit charts, he had no idea what journey he had embarked on.
KATO’s debut album “Discolized” contained several major local hits, such as ”Hey Shorty”and ”Desert Walk” -songs that paved the way for performances at the biggest Danish festivals, making him the first DJ headliner in Danish music history.
In the spring of 2013, KATO released its 2nd solo album “Behind Closed Doors”, which, as expected, featured many renowned artists.
Barren was set even higher than on the debut album, which was reflected in the list of stars from Denmark, Sweden and the USA, which included, among others, the legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, pop and R&B singer Shontelle and the American rapper Kurupt, as well as the Danish artist Bent Fabricius-Bjerre.
The hit singles “Never Let You Go”, “Claps of Approval”, “Alive”, “Denmark” and “I’m In Love”obtained all gold or platinum certifications in Denmark.”.
With these cemented KATO status, and established himself as one of the greatest Danish stars of the time.
With more than +200,000,000 streams on Spotify, over 200,000 sold downloads and gold certification in the UK with the single “Show You Love”KATO has proven why international stars like Snoop Doog, the British star DJ/producer Sigala, as well as the American actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld have all released singles with the Danish hitmaker.
The philosophy and strength of KATO’s music has always been to combine genres, but with an extreme focus on the commercial potential and a curiosity about new trends in music.
The recipe has kept KATO at the top of the Danish club scene from the beginning of his career as both DJ, producer, artist and re-mixer.
As one of Denmark’s biggest DJs, Kato has delivered songs that can get everyone up off their chairs.
So if you're looking for a DJ who can get the party started - then you've come to the right place.
