Jan Gintberg probably doesn't need any further introduction.
He is one of the country's best and most experienced comedians and always manages to find something funny in everything and in every situation.
Although he has been on the stage for over 30 years, there are still plenty of jokes, satirical observations and excellent stories left in him – and that doesn’t stop for now.
Jan Gintberg is not a comedian without opinions – quite the opposite. He masters both the intelligent observations and the harsh truths.
Nothing is sacred to him, which is probably also why so many people like him and can't help laughing in his company.
In 1997 he had his breakthrough as a stand-up comedian as one of the "Team Tæske" who ravaged P3 every Friday morning in the mid-90s.
At DR, he has for many years hosted a number of popular programs where, with his own satirical perspective, he explores and questions various topics. Who does not remember "Gintberg on the Edge"? The program is extremely entertaining, and as a viewer you get an insight into different communities in both the rural and urban parts of Denmark.
Jan manages in the funniest way possible to ridicule the people he encounters on his way through the Danish countryside.
The provocative and humorous manner that Jan possesses in "Gintberg on the Edge" is also to be experienced in his stand-up show.
