Carpark North hardly needs a detailed introduction. The unique blend of raw and electronic – electro-rock.
In Aarhus on July 28, 99, Carpark North was formed.
It was the boys’ wish to connect their sources of inspiration, which range from Depeche Mode to Mozart, and to create Denmark’s first Electro Rock Band.
It turned out quite well for Carpark North, which debuted with the album ”Carpark North” in 2003, and since then it has been on the rise.
Since then they have released 4 albums, played hundreds of concerts in Denmark, but also in parts of Scandinavia, as well as more than 50 concerts in Germany, where they also signed a contract with the multinational Sony Music.
Since their breakthrough in the early 00s, Carpark North have never looked back. They are a rock giant that never seems to have lost their breath, but who, with a distinctive expression that uncompromisingly liberates music across genres, has given us great hits and magical moments like ’Human’, ’Should We Be Grateful’, ’32’And not least the iconic one,’Transparent & Glasslike’.
Carpark North brings both darkness and beauty when they put the people down with wild energy and fantastic hit parodies.
They have always been just as striking in their harshness as they are melodically precise.
A combination that has given us immortal country songs and community-building concert experiences for more than 20 years. And Carpark North still stands as an organic, living force – a creative trio that continues to leave its indelible mark on Danish music – and that is always on its way towards new, uncharted heights…
