Torben Chris qualified in 2003 for the semi-finals of the Danish Stand-Up Championship with his 12th show ever.
The following year, he finished 4th place, and while Torben Chris completed his teacher training at Jelling Seminarium, he continued to play with stand-up.
In 2005, he gave two shows at that year's Jelling Music Festival after winning a talent competition on Vejle Local Radio.
In 2006, Torben Chris came in third at the Danish Stand-up Championship and has since performed several times at Comedy Zoo, Kulcaféen and various clubs around the country.
In 2006 he did a mini-tour with Linda P and Karsten Green with the ironic title Us from TVIn addition, he was on the Telia Comedy Tour January 2007 and TV2 Zulus. Comedy Fight Club in the fall of 2007.
He has appeared in Comedy Aid in 2011 and 2012. Together with Thomas Hartmann, he made the show Men's Room in 2011. The following year Hartmann and Chris followed up the show with Men's Room 2.

In 2015, he appeared in TV3's reality show "I'm a celebrity – get me out of here!“
Torben Chris has made a huge impact on the Danish stand-up scene since he debuted in 2005. Torben is always in 5th gear and loves to perform. He has an opinion on most things, which you can experience in the DR program series "Torben Chris rydder op". Together with his friend and colleague Thomas Hartmann, he will be performing Mens Room 4 in late summer 2021.
