A Man of Many Talents

We know YouTuber Rasmus Brohave for his usual time in front of the camera, either in his own YouTube videos or on TV. Now he has stepped out as a podcast host on his podcast BÅLSNAK, where he has had a chat with our Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, among other things.

Rasmus Brohave talks about going from an unknown young man to being a well-known Youtuber throughout Denmark – what is everyday life like as a Youtuber, how do you become a Youtuber, is it hard work? – Rasmus also talks about his work as an ambassador for UNICEF, and about being TV Host of the Year 2020.

Rasmus hosted the program “Danmark har Talent” (Denmark's Got Talent). Here he won the award as “Male Entertainment Host of the Year” for the first time at BILLED BLADET'S TV-GULD.
Rasmus was one half of the hosting duo on TV 2's "Danmarks har Talent", while he was the sole host on TV 2 Zulu's "Z Factor", which went backstage before, during and after "X Factor".

Rasmus Brohave is currently one of the hottest Youtubers with more than 570,000 followers on YouTube and Instagram.

Rasmus Brohave has also, since 2018, made a YouTube series on his YouTube channel 'What can I become?' where Rasmus goes around and tries different jobs, to make viewers aware of the job opportunities in Denmark. Rasmus Brohave jumps into jobs as everything from police officer, school teacher, veterinarian and a lot of others.

In 2014, the Nordic YouTube network Splay came to Denmark, where Rasmus quickly became part of the team. Rasmus quickly got his first series on the channel together with his colleague Eiqu Miller.
The series was called The Unicorn Show, where they interviewed some of Denmark's biggest comedians and TV hosts.
Later, he hosted the program Jamster and appeared in programs on DR and TV2.

 

Musical star on the CV

Rasmus Brohave has made a somewhat remarkable career change and is now making his debut as musical star in the coming “Cinderella – The Musical”.
Rasmus Brohave has been working with YouTube for the past 11 years and needed something new to happen, to push himself into something where you can't quite get down to business."I'm completely out of my comfort zone, and it's uncomfortable, but also really cool.".

"Cinderella – The Musical” will have its world premiere on March 7, 2024 at Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, where Rasmus Brohave can be experienced as the valet Andreas.

The many nominations and awards

Rasmus Brohave wins the TV-GULD award for "Male Entertainment Host of the Year".
"Denmark has talent" host Rasmus Brohave takes the award as "Male Entertainment Host of the Year" for the first time at Billedbladet's TV-GULD.
Brohave was one half of the hosting duo on TV 2's "Danmarks har talent", while he was the sole host on TV 2 Zulu's "Z Factor", which went backstage before, during and after "X Factor".
It was a clearly surprised and happy Rasmus Brohave who received the award: “I certainly didn't expect that, and especially not with the field I'm up against,” he said from the stage, where he thanked his family and his girlfriend, among other things.
He was nominated together with veterans Mikkel Kryger, Mikkel Beha Erichsen, Joakim Ingversen and Peter Ingemann, who won the award last year.

On August 1, 2015, Guldtuben, the first Danish YouTube Award show, was held at the Bremen Theatre. Here, Rasmus was nominated for 4 out of 11 Awards, taking home 2 of the awards. Rasmus Brohave won the categories Shooting Star of the Year and Series of the Year with The Unicorn Show.
Rasmus won 2 awards again at Guldtuben on September 24, 2016 and is one of the most viewed and popular "Youtubers" in Denmark.
At the Guldtuben 2017, it was another award as *Vlogger of the Year 2017*

60,000 subscribers in one year
Rasmus Brohave grew up in Svendborg and is currently 26 years old. In July 2012, at just 14 years old, Rasmus uploaded his first YouTube video, with the aim of entertaining people.
Today he is one of Denmark's biggest YouTube stars.
Rasmus Brohave quickly found out that there were people who liked what he was doing. During his post-secondary education in 2014-2015, his YouTube career began to take off. He went from 16,000 subscribers to over 60,000 in just over a year.
