He grew up in the dark forests in the middle of the Mols Mountains,
where he spent all his time from childhood on and
fishing, hunting, building and observing.
With its merits in nature, it was therefore a matter of course,
that he should be in Wilderness Alone.
Niels Drescher from Alene i Vildmarken has always been a pure peasant and mood bomb.
He grew up in the dark forests in the middle of Mols Bjerge, where from childhood he spent all his time fishing, hunting, building and observing.
With his achievements in nature, it was therefore a natural fit that he would be included in Alone in the Wilderness.
It became the adventure of his life, and gave him the opportunity to target nature education to all of Denmark.
Nature and science have always been a focal point in Niels' life. Today, he is an avid angler and spearfisherman. He even shoots all the meat he eats with a rifle or speargun.
When he's not on nature adventures with a backpack, rifle or harpoon, he spends his time on his three-acre farm, which he moved to after his participation in Alone in the Wilderness.
Lecture – Enjoying yourself alone for 40 days
Niels offers his own "standard" lecture, called "Enjoying yourself alone for 40 days", where he tries to encourage the audience to approach nature more simply, let themselves be carried away and work with nature - never against it.
With a whole lot of funny stories from childhood, experiences from Alone in the Wilderness, and anecdotes from both scenes shown on TV, but also from a lot of behind the scenes.
The audience is involved with all their senses when Niels takes out his pot he used in Alone in the Wilderness, which still has fish remains in it. He shows reindeer skulls that hung in his cabin in the wilderness, as well as a 2-meter-tall mannequin dressed as Niels Fævesvin - BEWARE OF HIM, HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED!
Tailor-made events
Which has extra focus on workshops in campfire or emergency preparedness and prepping.
Depending on the wishes of the event, a small fee will be added to the price of the lecture/workshop.
Outreach to young people
Niels is particularly interested in communicating and encouraging young people to get out into nature, and use it as a playground and as a safe place for the soul and body. Nature needs to be less alienated, and Niels believes that humor and levity are a direct path to this.
