2025 is the year the KANDIS Grand Prix hits”Lonnie From Berlin” turns 20 years old.
It has been 20 years since KANDIS participated in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix – the song has now achieved cult status and has become part of the musical DNA of all Danes and is always a regular part of KANDIS's repertoire when they give a concert.
The song has also been streamed 6 million times on SPOTIFY.
2025 will be season no. 36, where KANDIS will once again go on a nationwide tour with already well over 100 events and concerts on the calendar.

KANDIS is also heading to a new place in their career, in addition to the many traditional concerts they have year after year.
It started at SMUKFEST in 2023, where they completely dismantled the tent stage, which has now become a regular feature at many Danish festivals across the country.
However, KANDIS never rests on its success, but is in constant musical development.
Therefore, a new album with brand new KANDIS songs will also be released in 2025.
It is important for KANDIS to constantly innovate musically and explore new trends within the music and lyrical universe, where new albums often include songs about current things that are up to date.
KANDIS is still the orchestra in Denmark that has received the most honors for huge record and CD sales, as well as streaming on social media.
Over time, they have produced 56 gold and platinum records – and they have also received 9 Music Awards at various shows, as the most popular orchestra in Denmark in various pop and Danish top genres.
When KANDIS goes live on stage for their concerts, it is always with good humor and musical precision, serving up a string of hits that we all know, right from the breakthrough hit "A Small Ring of Gold", Grand Prix hit"Lonnie From Berlin"to"That's Your Name” and many other hits, all of which have been at the top of various charts over the last 35 years.
