She broke through with "Every Little Part of Me" in 2003 from the debut album Home, which sold 90,000 copies.
Since then, things have gone well, and Julie Berthelsen is today a well-established artist who appears in a multitude of TV and radio programs, and her well-attended concerts take place in many different settings, from festivals and concert halls, to cultural centers and church concerts.
In 2004, Julie Berthelsen received three Danish Music Awards, for "Danish Singer of the Year", "New Danish Name of the Year", and "Danish Pop Release of the Year".
She recorded the theme song "Tomorrow” for the TV series “The Crown Princess” and the single “Moment's Bliss”, which became the theme song for the TV3 series “2900 Happiness”.
In 2003, Julie sang the title song for "Jesus & Josephine" together with Martin Brygmann.
In addition to her fantastic singing career, she has hosted the Danish Song Grand Prix and been a choir director in Allstars, which she won with her choir from Nuuk.
Julie Berthelsen is also of Greenlandic origin on her mother's side, and can be experienced as a lecturer, where she talks about Greenland and the country's culture, music and songwriting.

Julie Bertelsen & Nordstjerne is an intimate and beautiful vocal-based concert, accompanied by her lovely orchestra and talented choir singers.
Julie sings Christmas in with something old and familiar, interpreted in a new way, as well as some lesser-known but especially beautiful Christmas songs. We will draw even closer to each other with warm personal stories and a Christmas red thread that will get us all in the right Christmas spirit.
Julie was very well received already in 2018 with her “Nordstjerne” Christmas concerts, which for her was a Christmas dream come true. With her vast experience, she managed to create an atmospheric setting for Christmas, which for her stands for charity, warmth of heart, and where gatherings of family and friends are paramount.
With this Christmas concert, Julie will make her contribution to letting the Christmas peace sink in, to ensuring that the Christmas month remains the time of year when we can all breathe a little, look each other deep in the eyes and remind each other how much we care about each other and how good we are.
