American Ride is a Danish Americana band that writes and plays music with roots in country, rock and blues – and with an eye towards stories that you can reflect on. These are songs about relationships, life choices, hope and adversity, told honestly and without unnecessary clichés.
The band's expression is based on respect for the craft of singing: strong melodies, clear choruses and guitar work with both twang and weight.
The music has a clear American origin, but the stories and atmosphere have a sobriety and thoughtfulness that makes them relevant to a Nordic audience.
With the debut album "Come Over" American Ride laid the foundation for their sound and live expression. Since then, the band has worked purposefully on their material and today has two full sets of well-crafted, original songs. Over time, the sound has gained more edge, without losing its Americana roots.
Live, American Ride is known for concerts that balance the intimate and the energetic. There is room for both calm, reflection and moments where the music lifts and draws the audience in. These are concerts with joy of playing, presence and clear contact – regardless of whether the stage is small or large.
