A tribute to the biggest pop band of the 70s
ABBAtizers is a six-man band from Denmark that has kept the ABBA fever alive for over 20 years.
The orchestra is known for whetting a voracious appetite for well-crafted pop music infused with copious amounts of glitter, sparkle and glamour.
It’s more than 40 years since Agneta, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid conquered the world with the hit song ”Ring, Ring”– and they still hit the charts all over the world.”.
In fact, ABBA sells more than 2 million records a year, and the musical Mamma Mia, which consists entirely of ABBA songs, draws packed houses in London for the 17th year in a row.
With hundreds of jobs both domestically and internationally, ABBAtizers guarantees a show that doesn’t just hit the pop heart—but also the dance feet.
A show imbued with energy, self-deprecation and charming touches – and enveloped in professional sound and lighting design that leaves an impression right down to the last row.
"But why do people still dance to ABBA so wildly?"The answer comes quickly as the band is interviewed by Signe Arnkvist for P7 Mix. Singer Neel Ettrup says:
“They never go out of style, so there have also been other bands that have made ABBA covers. There have been A-teens and Erasure – so there are really a lot of young people in their 20s – they also know who ABBA is. It doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 65 – ABBA is cool!”.
ABBA is ”still alive” in every way. And if you want to experience them live, there’s no better way than with ABBAtizers.
