In recent years, he has distinguished himself as one of Denmark's strong singer/songwriter voices.
Tim Schou is currently working on his new EP "Long Way Home", which will be released on October 24th.
Tim's new single "Long way home" has been in rotation on P5. He has thus had his songs in rotation on DR from February and will continue throughout the year.
"Long Way Home" revolves around the theme of returning home - both physically and mentally. After more than ten years on the road as a kind of Olympic couch surfer with addresses in, among others, LA, Tokyo, Berlin, Stockholm, Copenhagen and New York, Tim has found peace in Stevns. Here he now lives with his pregnant girlfriend Camille, in a thatched farmhouse from 1634, where together they have started their own record label.
With the two preceding singles - "Proud", which spent 10 weeks in A-rotation on P4 and hit the top 10 on the Danish radio list, and "Demons", which is still rotating on P4 - Tim has paved the way for the release.
Tim Schou is an internationally recognized singer, songwriter, and performer with a career spanning more than a decade.
He started as the frontman of A Friend in London, who won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 2011 and achieved 5th place in Eurovision with the hit "New Tomorrow".
After the band broke up, Tim made a radical decision: He sold everything, couchsurfed around the world for eight years, and wrote songs with renowned producers and artists.
Before and after his solo debut, he has played on large stages such as the O2 Arena in London, the Skuespilhuset, Store Scene in Copenhagen and New Year's Eve at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin in front of 750,000 people.
In 2021, Tim released the album Hero/Loser, which received 5/6
stars in GAFFA, and his song ""Acapella" has over 10 million streams.
He has collaborated with names such as Felix Jaehn, Sick Individuals and Go Go Berlin and has been a co-writer on platinum and gold-selling songs in Europe and Asia.
In 2025 he made a strong comeback in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix with "Proud", which cemented his position as one of Denmark's most authentic artists. The song is in
Currently in A-rotation on P4, it is being played extensively on both commercial and local stations and is approaching 100,000 streams on Spotify in less than a month. It has also ranked #9 on Spotify's Viral 50 and was part of both Nye Danske Hits and New Music Friday in Denmark and Norway.
