A lecture on the balance between health for body & mind
About the lecture
What does health really mean? Is it the ability to run a marathon, eat vegetables every day and have a well-trained body – or is it also being able to find peace, have good relationships and thrive mentally?
In the lecture Healthy inside, healthy outside Julia Sofia Aastrup & Mark Abildhauge invite the audience into an honest and present conversation about health in the broadest sense. With their respective perspectives – Julia focusing on the mind and Mark focusing on the body – they challenge the notion that health can only be measured in numbers, weight and performance.
Julia believes that when you take care of your mind, your body will follow. Mark believes that when you take care of your body, your mind will be strengthened. Together, they show how the two paths meet in the same goal: a life where body and soul work together, so we have a body that is fun to be in throughout our lives.
The talk is a mix of personal experiences, scientific insights and humorous insights from their own lives as a couple. The audience can expect a lively presentation, where conversation and questions are welcome along the way.
